Mechanism of action
Sitagliptin inhibits DPP-4, increasing active incretin hormones and enhancing glucose-dependent insulin release while reducing glucagon levels. Dapagliflozin inhibits SGLT2 in the kidneys, reducing glucose reabsorption and increasing urinary glucose excretion.
