Mechanism of action
Teneligliptin inhibits DPP-4, increasing active incretin hormones and enhancing glucose-dependent insulin release while reducing glucagon levels. Metformin reduces glucose production in the liver, decreases intestinal glucose absorption and improves insulin sensitivity. Pioglitazone improves insulin sensitivity in muscle and adipose tissue, increasing glucose uptake and utilization.
